He is a business graduate who started out in the world of mechanical and production engineering, but who today possesses wide ranging business know-how and experience which spans a number of sectors. This includes practical experience of actually managing, growing, and directing a truly diverse range of small businesses, as well as having worked within the larger and more corporate world.

He is a first class problem solver who possesses a rare ability to assimilate wide ranging information and either add strategic value to it, or simply apply it to solve practical day to day difficulties. As a consultant and coach David has successfully assisted a large number of SME’s over the last 17 years to both grow and to innovate. This included for example being designated as an ‘Enhanced Coach’ under the government’s last national flagship scheme for business support - ‘The Business Growth Service’ incorporating both Growth Accelerator and the Manufacturing Advisory Service. lessons through many business failures. By establishing “The Entrepreneurs Trust”, Assim is on a mission to teach entrepreneurs about the reality of the business journey in order to protect them from similar pain.

He has been involved in over $2billion of renewable energy technology projects, including wind farms development, bio energy, waste to energy, electronic waste recycling, solar panel manufacturing. Most recently he has been commercialising his retrofit insulation invention for low rise residential property. He is also an inventor of an interesting pixel art toy brick system called Simbrix.

Assim recently took a short break from being a full time entrepreneur by leading the commercialisation of innovative research, at Birmingham City University in Digital Platforms, Virtual Reality Medical Training, Smart Cities, Film Distribution amongst other sectors.

His current portfolio of interest includes mentoring start ups with Natwest Bank innovation accelerator, a number of startup companies, a Coach for European Government’s startup investor the European Institute of Innovation and Technology and a Non Executive Director of a clean technology start up in Slovenia.

Beginning his career with HSBC Bank, Assim then moved into to sales and marketing in the FMCG sector and then telecoms market. He later founded his cleantech and sustainability company, Envirup and served on the board of The Forestry Commission, a business mentor with the Princes Trust and is a board member of a successful Academy school. He was elected as member of The Energy Institute, was formerly a registered Chartered Energy Manager.

 of Commerce. Following an economics degree and an experiment with accountancy he worked around the world for leading energy companies in business development and M & A. In 2016 he became self employed, working for an oil and gas start up in Malaysia. Since returning to the UK his focus has been on developing businesses that encourage fitness, resilience, teamwork, fun and self awareness. He is the founder and joint owner of Clip n Climb Stoke, Staffordshire’s fun, family climbing centre in Stone and Camptoo UK, an AirBNB type platform for sharing Camper Vans to get people into nature and an active lifestyle. He is a start up business consultant and personal development coach.

Ed is passionate about social value and supports non-profit ‘Pencils of Promise’ in building schools abroad and also mentoring young people. A father, keen endurance sportsman and eternal rugby fan Ed is a strong believer in personal growth and self awareness and that you get back what you put into society and that business is as much about profits as supporting people’s ambitions and it’s contribution to society.
